Powder Coat Painter

**Job details**: - Able to take direction from Leadhand/Plant Manager in order to meet required goals - Perform start-up and shutdown tasks related to the paint line - Complete system “readiness” inspection prior to the loading of product - Perform safety inspections on equipment prior to use - Executes quality workmanship in a safe and efficient manner - Must be flexible in responsibilities to reach the companies goals - Able to operate the powder coat equipment in accordance to instruction and training given - Perform purge and colour changes as needed - Load and unload product from the line - Perform gloss and film thickness measurements on painted product to ensure conformance to requirements - Operate a jib crane safely - Perform duties in accordance to standard work - Perform manufacturing tasks within the communicated TAKT time - Scan work orders to maintain accurate production data - Report, identify and segregate nonconforming product in accordance to the documented quality process - Participate in continuous improvement through kaizen initiatives - Contribute to the company 5S program by maintaining work station cleanliness - Participate in training events and tool box talks, as required - Practice safe work habits in accordance with company Health and Safety procedures and the OH&S Act - Other duties as required **Requirements**: - Manufacturing powder coat paintline experience is a definite asset but not necessary providing there is a "willing to learn" attitude - ** Needs to be clean shaven or be prepared to be, this is mandatory due to the PPE (respiratory protection) that is required to do this job**: - All new employees are required to provide an original Police Record Check - Proof of Secondary School Diploma is required - Good organization and communication skills - Ability to read, write and understand verbal and written English work instructions and safety rules and be able to work in a fast-paced environment **Work Conditions**: - This is a physically demanding position that requires: - Continuous standing for extended periods of time - Some heavy lifting, carrying and handling of objects - Regular use of hands, wrists, arms, shoulders, bending/stretching, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, walking, pushing/pulling - Repetitive motion and other job specific requirements - Precise hand/finger movements - Able to lift up to and including 50 lbs - Physical Environment: Regular exposure to factors such as temperature fluctuations, moving machinery, loud noise, and dusty environments - Sensory Attention: Need to give close attention with hearing or seeing to work surroundings.
