**Position Title**: Collections Specialist
**Position Location**: Hybrid, Toronto. (2 days onsite/3 days remote)
**Reports to**: Director, Finance Operations
**Main Purpose of the Role**: This role is critical in ensuring timely collections, maintaining strong client relationships, and supporting the overall cash flow of the company.
**Essential Functions**:Accounts Receivable Management**:

- Manage and oversee accounts receivable processes, including monitoring outstanding invoices and pursuing collections, and consistently meet or exceed monthly collections targets.
- Handle escalations and negotiate payment arrangements with delinquent accounts.
- Maintain accurate records of collections activity, customer communications, and payment histories.
- Prepare aging reports, collections performance metrics, and other relevant documentation for management review.
- Manage spreadsheets, databases, and document filing systems efficiently.
- Work closely with the cash app, sales, accounting, and operations teams to resolve billing discrepancies and provide excellent customer service.
- Participate in meetings to align on strategies for high-risk accounts or disputes. o Identify opportunities to streamline the collections process and improve efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations related to credit and collections.

**Education and Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
- 2-5 years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, or billing.
- Experience in administrative or clerical roles is an asset.
- Familiarity with accounting software (NetSuite preferred) and industry-relevant practices.
- Strong document and data management capabilities, including spreadsheets and databases.
