**The Opportunity**
- Corporate Facilities provides the City of Barrie with expertise in four key service areas: facility planning, design and construction; maintenance and property management, facility asset management and energy management. As a Centre of Excellence for a large and complex inventory of physical assets, the department comprises all the necessary functions and lines of business to ensure the full life-cycle management of the City of Barrie's facility and property portfolios.- The Facility Services Coordinator position is responsible for the coordination of facilities maintenance for multiple municipal facilities. The Coordinator sets priorities, plans, directs, and schedules daily work assignments for internal and external resources to ensure maintenance goals are met, downtime is minimized, and preventative and predicative maintenance is completed and carried out in a safe and efficient manner. This position focuses on providing quality service and complaint resolution to internal and external customers in a friendly and professional manner and maintaining strong working relationships with vendors, trades, contractors, service providers, and clients. The incumbent acts as the Facility Supervisor when and as required or directed.**Our Culture and Qualifications of the Job**

- Completion of Building Systems Maintenance Technician (SMT) Designation or equivalent- Position Equivalency Code: A
**Experience**
- Five (5) years of experience performing duties related to the major responsibilities of the position
- Demonstrated experience in a complex, multi-facility work environment
- Demonstrated experience with facility and building systems design and operations
**Knowledge/Skill/Ability**
- Working knowledge of the following legislation, regulations, or requirements: asset management principles, quality assurance and maintenance management processes/systems, fire and building codes, TSSA requirements, applicable OADA, Occupiers Liability Act, OHSA, ESA, public health codes, special events legislation, and Freedom of Information Acts
- General knowledge of the following principles and standards: roof and structural systems and PDM technology; budget development and management
- Working knowledge of the following principles and standards: operation of integrated and complex environmental systems, building automation systems, integrated facility systems, security systems, lighting control systems, CMMS, and AutoCAD
- Demonstrated ability to:
- read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- maintain and operate integrated and complex environmental systems, building automation systems, integrated facility systems, security systems, lighting control systems, CMMS, and AutoCAD
- Intermediate skills include: Administrative; Interpersonal; Organizational; Prioritization; Problem Solving; Project Management
- Intermediate computer literacy using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Availability on a rotational basis to assist with after-hours questions, concerns, or emergencies; to attend evening/weekend meetings or special events; and/or to work outside of designated normal hours per week
**Conditions of Employment**
- Valid Ontario Class “G” Driver’s Licence in good standing with a reliable vehicle for use on corporate business
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check*
