**Human Resources Generalist**
**Duties and Responsibilities**

The responsibilities of the HR Generalist are as follows:
- Recruitment is the primary responsibility and function of the HR Generalist. The incumbent will be responsible for sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding of all open roles within the company.
- Using Social Media platforms to seek out unique skill sets and integrate with Marketing to coordinate Community Involvement and promote the AOR brand.
- Experience recruiting skills such as heavy equipment operators, mechanics and truck drivers is an asset.
- Participates in Chamber of Commerce and other social events to aid in recruitment and network for businesses in the Barrie and surrounding areas.
- Conducts exit interviews with employees who voluntarily leave the organization and compiles reports.
- In the role of HR Generalist, you will be the company’s single point of contact for Health and Safety concerns as will as champion of training.
- Facilitate performance improvement programs including progressive discipline where necessary. This may also require investigation meetings and terminations when required.
- Liaises with Payroll regarding hires, wage/salary increases, terminations, payroll deductions, records of employment, benefit premium monitoring, garnishees, and changes in employee status, vacations, leaves of absence, sick days, etc.
- Participate in the development of programs/policies/procedures that contribute to organizational development, and employee satisfaction while maximizing efficiencies and profitability and maintaining a balance between employee/employer needs.
- Consults with management on practices to ensure fair and consistent treatment of employees and that the company is following all relevant legislation and the companies’ policies and procedures.
- Travel is required between all AOR facilities.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
- Proven experience in talent acquisition and employee relations
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience in project management and change management
- Proficient in data entry and HR sourcing techniques
Pay: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year

**Experience**:
- Human resources: 2 years (required)
Licence/Certification:
