**Scope**:
The Multi-Property Sales Manager is responsible for developing and implementing the total sales and marketing efforts of assigned hotels, including securing new accounts, maintaining existing accounts, supervising activities of sales personnel, and executing sales and marketing strategies to maximize the profitability of the properties while maintaining guest satisfaction.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Implements effective sales and marketing strategies to maximize the generation of hotel sales/revenues across multiple properties.
- Actively acquire new business and maintain existing accounts through cold calling, prospecting, planned sales calls, direct mail campaigns, and telephone solicitations.
- Develops and maintains relationships with key clients in order to produce group and/or convention business, to include room sales, food & beverage sales, catering/banquet services.
- Quote and negotiate prices within established parameters. Upon booking, prepare sales contracts, coordinate and follow-up with convention services, catering, and/or other hotel departments to ensure the delivery of promised service as originally agreed upon.
- Assists DOSM/General Manager in the development and update of the hotel-level business plan to include input on sales goals and plans that support the overall business and sales strategies of the company.
- Develop quarterly action plans that address priorities and quotas and achieve sales activities as outlined in the hotels/individual action plan.
- Participate in business and industry-related organizations, representing the hotels in a professional manner.
- Coordinate and participate in sites, FAMs, and industry/trade functions & shows.
- Utilize Property Sales System to track, solicit, and follow up on accounts.
- Participate in prescribed Hotel/Brand training and special projects.
- Be independently responsible for the achievement of all objectives outlined in the action plans.
- Ensure effective yield management for group bookings produced and contracted.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required.
- Responsible for day-to-day duties of prospecting accounts, account development, and site inspections.
- Acknowledge and monitor competition's sales and marketing strategies and collect market and competitive intelligence to assist in developing a strategic plan.
- Fulfill Manager on Duty shifts.
- Personal vehicle to travel locally or to other locations is a primary job duty.

**Health and Safety**
- Follow safe work procedures as per hotel policy and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment.
- Know and comply with all Occupational Health & Safety regulations, as per the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Ministry of Labour.
- Report all injuries or illnesses to a supervisor or manager immediately.
- Participate in Joint Health and Safety Committee by bringing health and safety concerns or issues to the attention of the committee.

**Relationships**:
**Internal**: All hotel departments and sales staff: Communicates client’s expectations.
- **External**:

- **Guests**: To provide service.
- **Travel Agencies**: To promote hotel services and generate business.
- **Competition**: To stay informed of competitive strategies and business conditions.
- **Customers**: To promote hotel services and generate business.
- **Governmental Agencies**: To promote hotel services and generate business; discuss marketing/sales plan to ensure conformance to regulatory requirements.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education/Experience**: High School diploma or equivalent. Two years experience in sales and supervisory experience desirable. Special consideration will be given to those who exhibit exemplary performance.
- **Certification and/or License Requirement**: Valid provincial driver’s license.
- **Skills**:

- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Planning and organizational ability.
- Computer skills.
- Customer Service.

**Working Conditions**:

- Will be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Will be required to work in a fast-paced, stressful environment.
- Ability to travel regularly/operate own vehicle.
