**Job Summary**
**Responsibilities**
- Coordinate and oversee all aspects of funeral services, including transportation, preparation, and presentation of the deceased.
- Meet with families to discuss their wishes and preferences for services, providing guidance on options available.
- Prepare necessary legal documents and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Manage the logistics of funeral services, including scheduling, staffing, and equipment needs.
- Provide support to families before, during, and after services, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
- Conduct sales of funeral merchandise such as caskets, urns, and memorial products.
- Perform heavy lifting as required for the handling of remains and equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment within the funeral home.
- Performing embalmings and preparations.
**Experience**
- Previous experience in a funeral service role is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to empathize with grieving families.
- Bi-lingual French and English.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical demands associated with the role.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for managing multiple tasks effectively.
We are located one hour from Ottawa, Montréal and Mont-Tremblant. Hawkesbury is located on the beautiful Ottawa River with the Laurentians mountains close by. Housing is also affordable.
