Red Deer, Canada Ross Contracting Full time

We are looking to add a carpenter or two to our team. As an already well-established renovation company we have had no shortage of work the past few years. We are also expanding into the new custom home market. There is plenty of work for the foreseeable future.

Because we have a few different jobs on the go at any given time, excellent communication is essential You need to be able to work with the crew, provide leadership to the apprentices, and self-manage, to a degree. We also ask that you know and understand your limitations, are not afraid to ask questions, and are willing to be instructed in areas where knowledge is lacking.

We offer competitive wages, weekends off, and worksites that are usually close to home. Our crew is friendly, and happy to teach, or to learn something new. Our jobs tend to be larger, each with its own challenges and learning opportunities that really help us grow as tradespeople and keep us interested. We also do test for asbestos before commencing with any demolition in a house that is old enough to contain it.

Carpenters:

- Looking for people with broad experience and understanding of residential renovations, new home builds and outdoor construction. Must be able to work unsupervised and handle a small crew of 1-2 helpers.
- Basic hand tools required
- Reliable vehicle required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Red Deer, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
