**About the Role**
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive **Safety & HR Coordinator** to support both our health & safety programs and human resources functions. This dual role plays a key part in maintaining a safe, compliant workplace and providing day-to-day HR support across our production and paint facilities.
**Health & Safety Responsibilities**:
- Administer and maintain workplace safety programs, ensuring compliance with OH&S regulations
- Conduct inspections and risk assessments to identify and address potential hazards
- Investigate incidents/accidents and recommend corrective actions
- Maintain safety records, reports, and documentation
- Support Payroll by coordinating, documenting, and maintaining all aspects of WCB claims reporting in alignment with regulatory requirement.
**Human Resources Responsibilities**:
- Assist with onboarding and orientation of new employees
- Manage employee departures and terminations, including exit interviews and documentation
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR files
- Support payroll, benefits administration, and timekeeping processes
- Serve as the main contact and support resource for all apprentice-related activities and responsibilities
- Provide guidance on company policies and procedures
**What We’re Looking For**:
- 2+ years of experience in safety, HR, or a combined role (industrial/manufacturing environment preferred)
- Knowledge of OH&S regulations and HR best practices
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license
- First Aid training
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
