**Position Summary**:
Covenant Care welcomes all who share a calling to serve those most in need. Covenant Care is currently recruiting an Human Resources Business Partner based in Edmonton which requires travel to Edmonton sites, as needed.

Reporting to the HR Manager, the Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for advising, coaching, and supporting management in human resources in support of operations, employee and labour relations, full cycle recruitment, interpretation of various employment/legal documentation, assisting with creation and delivery of training/development material, performance and attendance management, and return to work matters, including Duty to Accommodate.
The incumbent may provide research and support for special projects undertaken by Human Resources, and participate in reviewing and setting policy.

**Primary Role and Responsibility**:
1. HR Support
i. Provide Assistance within the HR portfolio as directed by the HR Manager(s)
ii. Review, revise and develop HR policies in collaboration with the HR team

2. Recruitment
i. Support full cycle recruitment / hiring process encompassing screening interviews, assisting with interviews, performing background checks and issuing employment contracts
ii. Responsible for issuing employment contracts for all sites at the Professional and Management level

3. Employment/Labour Relations (ER/LR)
i. The HR Manager(s) may engage the HRBP in supporting the grievance process, create correspondence, supporting various requirements as directed
ii. Interpret and provide advice on the administration of collective agreements, polices and procedures and employment related legislation
iii. Investigate HR ‘best practices’ for dealing with HR issues
iv. Support the HR Manager(s) with harassment and ER investigations, write investigation reports, and support follow up action.

4. OH&S and Abilities Management
i. Work with employees, union reps (if applicable), OH&S specialists and disability insurance providers to assist with Return to Work and Duty to accommodate processes
ii. Work with Manager(s) on modified work options or alternative positions for accommodations
iii. Support Ability Management under the guidance of the OHS Manager
iv. Participate in OHS committees as required by the OHS Manager

5. Projects and other related duties
i. Develop/deliver training materials/presentations for management and staff on HR related items
ii. Provide input on HR metrics
iii. Responsible for maintaining and creating the monthly Newsletter
iv. Recommend/develop improvements to HR process, best practices, etc.
v. Responsible to maintain HR files for the site(s) assigned to
vi. Update and maintain seniority lists for all sites across the organisation
vii. Responsible for coordinating HR orientation training for all new employees, works with educators to plan and schedule time via Teams
viii. Other duties as required/assigned
