**Category Manager**

Based on holistic external analysis and understanding of customer and brand priorities, develop insights to design pricing, placement and promotional strategies on a national basis and tailored to our retailer partners.

Bayer is committed to a flexible hybrid working environment. This is a permanent position based out of Mississauga, Ontario.

**What you will do**:

- Conduct frequent and ad-hoc analysis of customer specific and national data (i.e. Nielsen MarketTrack & Numerator panel data, Retailer POS/Insights data, etc) to identify performance opportunities, and to recommend solutions to close gaps
- Develop overall pricing and promotion (Trade Fundamentals) strategies for our brands. Inclusive of Display Strategy/Design & Net Revenue Management (NRM), Price Pack Architecture (PPA), and feature/regular pricing
- Work with brand and sales teams to design presentations for customers, inclusive of making merchandising recommendations, accelerating category growth and launching new products
- Lead & develop planogram recommendations, working with outside vendors or in Prospace to build shelving proposals based on shopper based design principles
- Own relationship with outside data vendors, including Nielsen, Springboard, Sequoia and others. Ensure data validation to drive accuracy of databases/tools and train commercial team on usage
- Implement design, set up and interpretation of sales fundamentals research and novel Nielsen studies.

**Who you are**:

- Bachelors degree, with 5/+ years’ experience in Category Management, Brand Management and/or Sales. Preference within CPG, OTC or FMCG industries
- Must have minimum 1 year account level sales experience with a major retailer like Walmart, Costco, Shoppers Drug Mart, Loblaw, Metro/Jean Coutu, etc.
- Strong excel skills and the ability to analyze and synthesize large amounts of data to make recommendations
- Ability to use data sources to build presentations that are concise down to key insights and are easily understood
- Strong project and time management skills
- Excellent English written and oral communication skills
