Warehouse and Merchandising Specialist

Action Car and Truck Accessories is Canada's only national car and truck accessory retailer and distributor to both the private and industry sectors. With our head office in Moncton, New Brunswick, we have 42 stores and 3 distribution centres across the country. We are currently seeking a Warehouse and Merchandising Specialist to join our Mississauga team. As a Warehouse and Operational Support Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in the comprehensive reorganization and maintenance of our onsite warehouse. Reporting directly to the Mississauga Store Manager, you will be a key stakeholder in optimizing warehouse efficiency, ensuring accurate inventory management, and facilitating seamless daily operations. Your responsibilities will extend to managing inventory duties, including cycle counts, shipping, receiving, and organizing technicians' daily product requirements. Additionally, you will be involved in customer deliveries and the installation of "plastic truck bedliners" on an as-needed basis. Key Responsibilities: **Warehouse Reorganization**: - Lead the total reorganization efforts of the onsite warehouse for optimal space utilization and operational efficiency. - Implement and maintain a systematic approach to storage, ensuring easy access and retrieval of inventory. Maintaining the 5S structure that will be in place. **Inventory Management**: - Conduct regular cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory levels. - Oversee shipping and receiving processes to minimize errors and discrepancies. - Organize and manage daily product requirements for technicians, ensuring timely access to necessary tools and materials. - Maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of the warehouse. **Operational Support**: - Collaborate with the Store Manager to streamline and improve overall operational processes for shipping, receiving and an ‘as needed’ inventory environment for technician duties. - Take a proactive approach to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions for enhanced efficiency. - Assemble displays, etc. **Customer Deliveries**: - Perform customer deliveries promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive customer experience. - Coordinate delivery schedules to meet customer expectations and optimize delivery routes. **Product Installation**: - Conduct installations of "plastic truck bedliners" as needed, ensuring accurate and high-quality work. - Maintain a strong attention to detail and adherence to installation guidelines. **Qualifications**: - High school diploma or GED - Clean Driver’s Abstract - Proven experience in warehouse management and inventory control. - Strong organizational skills with the ability to optimize space and resources. - Familiarity with cycle counting, shipping, and receiving procedures. - Excellent communication, scheduling and collaboration skills. - Ability to operate delivery vehicles and handle various tools for product installations. - Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work. - Forklift licence an asset - Must be a self-starter **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent **Salary**: $20.00-$22.00 per hour **Benefits**: - Casual dress - Dental care - Disability insurance - Employee assistance program - Extended health care - Life insurance - Paid time off - RRSP match - Store discount - Vision care Schedule: - 8 hour shift - Monday to Friday **Education**: - Secondary School (preferred) **Experience**: - Merchandising: 1 year (preferred) Licence/Certification: - Driving Licence (preferred) - Forklift Licence (preferred) Work Location: In person
