As the Materials Coordinator / Driver, you play a vital role in supporting this mission by ensuring the accurate ordering and efficient tracking of materials essential to the successful execution of our construction projects.

**The Role**:
In this role, under the direction of the Construction Superintendent, you support our construction projects by ensuring timely material deliveries and effective inventory management.

**Driving & Delivery (Approx. 50%)**:

- Safely operate company trucks to transport materials, tools, and equipment to and from construction sites.
- Load and unload delivery trucks while ensuring proper handling and securing of items.
- Maintain logs of working hours, vehicle service, and inspection records in accordance with company policies and Federal and Provincial DOT regulations.
- Perform regular inspections and maintenance checks on vehicles to ensure roadworthiness.

**Materials Coordination (Approx. 50%)**:

- Monitor stock levels of materials and supplies used in ongoing and upcoming construction projects.
- Coordinate with Construction Superintendent and site supervisors to forecast material needs.
- Place orders and track order status to ensure timely delivery to minimize downtime on job sites.
- Maintain organized records of inventory levels, purchase orders, and receipts.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.

**What Success Looks Like**:

- **Timely and Safe Deliveries**:Consistently transporting materials and equipment to and from job sites on schedule, while adhering to all safety regulations and maintaining a clean driving record.
- **Inventory Accuracy**:Maintaining accurate records of material inventory, with mínimal discrepancies between physical stock and documentation.
- **Procurement Efficiency**:Proactively ordering materials and supplies in alignment with project timelines, avoiding delays due to shortages or overstock. Quickly addressing delivery or inventory issues and finding practical solutions to minimize impact on project schedules.
- **Communication and Coordination**:Effectively collaborating with Construction Superintendent, site supervisors, and suppliers to ensure seamless logistics and material availability.
- **Vehicle and Equipment Care and Compliance**:Performing regular inspections and routine maintenance to ensure vehicles and equipment remain in safe, working condition. Meeting all Federal and Provincial Transportation Regulations and company requirements for logs, safety inspections, and procurement processes with accuracy and consistency.

**Physical Requirements**:
There are several physical requirements necessary for this role, including:

- Ability to lift heavy equipment (75+ lbs)
- Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment while on designated construction sites
- Sitting and Standing for long durations
- Repetitive tasks and movements
- Exposure to extreme heat and cold temperatures
- Musculoskeletal injury potential or exposure
- Exposure to high noise levels - ability to wear hearing protection
- Exposure to vibration

**What You Bring**:
The following are required for this role:

- Valid Class 3.0 (or higher) driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience with inventory ordering and materials management is strongly preferred.
- Proven experience in truck driving, preferably in a construction or similar industry.
- Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks related to loading/unloading.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Proficient with basic computer software (Microsoft Office, inventory systems).
