**Job Summary**
The Youth Worker plays a vital role in supporting and guiding children and young people in various settings, including educational environments, community centers, and recreational programs. This position focuses on fostering a safe and positive atmosphere where youth can thrive, develop essential life skills, and engage in meaningful activities. The Youth Worker will work collaboratively with other staff members to create programs that educate and empower youth, particularly those with disabilities.

**Duties**
- Provide direct support to children and young adults, ensuring their safety and well-being during activities.
- Develop and implement educational programs that cater to the diverse needs of youth.
- Facilitate engaging activities that promote social interaction, teamwork, and personal development.
- Assist in managing behavioral challenges by employing effective communication and conflict resolution techniques.
- Collaborate with parents, educators, and community organizations to enhance the support network for youth.
- Maintain accurate records of participation, progress, and any incidents that occur during programming.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills relevant to working with youth.
- Can lift 50+ pounds

**Skills**
- Experience working with children in various capacities is essential.
- Strong educational background or experience in teaching or mentoring youth.
- Knowledge of best practices for working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with youth, families, and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating initiative.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping young people succeed.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Pay: $18.00-$23.21 per hour
