Parenting Time Supervisor

GIFTS is a child centred practice that supervises parenting time between parents and their child/ren. We assist parents by reducing conflict and expanding their parenting skills through support and guidance during supervised access visits. Further services include supervised exchanges, supervised phone access, parent coordination, referrals and resources.

Reporting to the director of the company, this is a contractor position offering flexible online scheduling that allows you to determine when you want to work, averaging about 10 hours a week. The majority of visits are held on weekends, although weekday availability an asset.

Duties include
- Supervision of interactions between parents and their children, and evaluation of parent-child relationship, including attachment and stability. We focus on co-parenting, time management / goal setting, attachment in parenting, guidance strategies, child development, communication skills, parenting styles, and healthy nutrition.
- Provide accurate written evaluative reports to the director post visitation and prompt verbal feedback to visiting parent, including transparency when evaluating attachment, transition, and parental development.

Due to COVID 19, we do not currently have an office, all visits are held in the community. If travel outside of Victoria is required, it is paid at the hourly rate.

Education - Bachelors degree in Social Work, Psychology or Child and Youth Care preferred.

$25/hr plus an additional $15 per report, to be completed after the visit.
