Reporting to the Director, Costing & Measurement, this role includes responsibility for being responsible for Shared Services Allocations, Enterprise Portfolio Governance (EPG) and Business Performance Improvement. With visibility to Senior executives across the organization and working alongside the finance senior leadership team as a strategic advisor to the function, this role understands key business drivers, contributes to strategic planning and execution, and helps implement recommendations to drive profitable business growth.
Key Accountabilities:
Shared Services Model- Responsible for the enterprise-wide cost allocation framework, spanning legal entities and operating segments- Participate in the design and structure of the model, including tools, principles, governance, regulatory and tax compliance- Carrying out hands-on execution of allocation model monthly runs including data preparation, results review and analysis, as well as quarterly true ups and process optimization- Analysis of results and communication with various business partners (both providers and receivers) across the enterprise- Provide detailed transparency to senior management and Finance Business Partner’s (“FBP’s”) of core drivers and outcomes, with a specific focus on deepening understanding of value provided and where BUs can influence shared service costs- Engagement throughout planning process to ensure allocations are accurately incorporated into the enterprise budget- Development of enhanced reporting- Demonstrate and promote the use of allocation data throughout the enterprise
Business Performance Improvement- Participation in and leadership of, various Business Improvement Initiatives, and projects across finance- Recommendation of process improvements and identification of cost savings, opportunities/efficiencies- Support the ongoing transformation of finance
Enterprise Portfolio Governance (EPG)- Champion the TMX Group’s portfolio governance framework with key partners and adherence to financial governance- Mediate the needs of business, technology teams and the project management office (PMO) while promoting and adhering to the guardrails of governance policies- Partner with PMO on shared project delivery objectives- Monitor portfolio results and follow-up on results completeness- Approve set-up of project codes and ensure governance is followed- Review and re-design of business case approval process and required artifacts / templates
Must Haves:
- Strong business sense with 5 to 10 years of progressive finance experience, preferably in financial services or business consulting- University degree with a business, engineering or science background- Proven experience with allocations or chargeback in a large/complex corporate environment- Have a partnering mindset, diplomatic and a collaborative style- Strong analytical skills (ability to deal with complex issues)- Excellent communication and presentation skills- Demonstrated time management and problem solving skills- Financial Modeling - 5 year(s)
Nice to Have(s):
- Working knowledge of project management methodologies including SDLC, Iterative and Agile- CPA and/or CFA designation or in progress- Exposure to significant projects and initiatives- Exposure to Data and Reporting Analytics- Knowledge of Workday Financials and Workday Projects- Experience with the Google Suite of Tools
