**About us**

DiValerio's Sweets & Savories is a small food business in Annapolis Royal, NS. We have a retail location where we sell our donuts, sandwiches, coffees, premade meals, fresh pasta and more. Our kitchen operates 6 days a week and produces breads and desserts for several restaurants in the surrounding area. Our goal is to have our breads, desserts, pastas and sauces available in retail stores soon.

Kichen Lead

**Duties**:

- Prepare foods for serving in the retail store and supply to restaurants. Coordinate packaging of foods by staff.
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Develop and implement strategies to increase efficiency and quality control
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Coordinate with vendors for food and beverage deliveries
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or bakery
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to problem solve and recognize when food has not been prepared according to the recipe or instructions provided
- Knowledge of hotel, coffee, bartending, banquet, food production, catering, or assistant manager roles is a plus

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $16.50-$18.50 per hour
