**Overview of Position**:
As the Marketing & Communications Manager - Vehicle Accessories, you will play a key role in a growing segment that drives both Revenue & Profitability for General Motors and its Dealers, while providing unique Customer experiences enabling them to personalize vehicles to their unique needs. GM Accessories business is a critical “add on” to the vehicle sales business and a significant revenue generating business unit for GM Canada.
Your primary role is to create, develop and localize marketing materials & communication messages to generate sales growth for GM Accessories in Canada. Focusing on driving results, you will integrate with stakeholders in the U.S. and Canada to drive engagement on marketing promotions and communicate Accessories field action plans. In this role, having a clear understanding of Canadian market needs and important regional differences will be key to your success, as well as your ability to produce breakthrough marketing materials and accessories communications to improve dealer awareness of accessories and grow revenue. You will be required to answer questions from the Field, interface with dealership sales managers and dealerships across Canada, and collaborate with internal stakeholders such as vehicle sales and marketing, finance and engineering teams.
In addition, you will assist the Accessory Product Managers in creating the Canadian go-to-market materials for new vehicle launches. You will also be responsible for onboarding, updating and maintaining Canadian accessories contracts with key suppliers in order to support an extensive catalogue of vehicle accessory products serving the Canadian market**.**
**Key Activities**
- Lead accessories communications and go-to-market strategies (internal and external): Field, Dealer, Brand, Consumer
- Coordinate the Accessories Marketing Plan and collaborate with Accessory Product Managers to plan monthly promotions and communications
- Respond to Field and Dealer questions on Accessories bulletins and offerings
- Conduct relevant analysis to identify sales/revenue growth opportunities for the Accessories business
- Develop presentation material to engage and influence accessories sales growth
- Collaborate, train, and communicate with district managers to drive accessory sales
- Create sell sheets, playbooks and dealer messages to provide accessories product and marketing information.
- Develop creative briefs for advertising agency to develop creative assets, campaign messaging, Point of Sale materials, video-on-demand, and publish reference catalogues
- Lead the execution of accessory displays - autoshows, special events - ordering accessories, installation and training and display
- Present during Regional Check-in meetings
- Support the accessories supplier contract management & renewal process
- Develop customer relationship management tools and targeted marketing programs
- Assist with eCommerce development
- Lead contact for our Agencies of Record (AOR)
- Develop Web portal strategy and dedicated accessories web portal
- Work with cross functional teams to ensure flawless accessories launch
- Work with Product Accessory Managers to drive Accessories through Launch Process - Product Readiness, develop Initial Order Quantities, Pricing, Catalog, Website, Divisional Communication, Packages & Promotions
**Skills and Experience**
- Experience in marketing products through dealer or retail channels; minimum 2-3 years
- Experience in sales communications for driving sales and optimizing revenue opportunities
- Good analytical and organizational skills to interpret/represent data and support departmental processes
- Usage of desktop publishing tools such as InDesign to create and modify content
