**Position**: Assistant Merchandiser

Works with the Buying Team to plan and select product to sell in our Retail Stores. You would be responsible for:
**Job Functions**:

- Maintain information on market trends regarding price and style and react accordingly to assist in the impact of sales.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers and source new suppliers for future product.
- Assist to buy.
- Place orders and ensure merchandise is properly received.
- Maintain and update data, reports required by buying team.

**Qualifications**:

- Must have a minimum 2 years’ experience in Retail Home Goods
- Must be creative with an entrepreneurial mind set
- Must have effective negotiating skills
- Must have strong organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).

**Location**:Toronto, ON

**Job Type**:Full-time

**Schedule**:

- 40 hours per week-Monday to Friday
- Holidays and Weekends (occasionally)
- Should be available for overtime hours if required

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $40,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
