We are hiring a full time Class 1 Low Bed Driver to join our professional team at Elite Excavating Inc. We are a driven company that employs those who are reliable, hardworking and have a positive attitude. We offer year round employment with regular hours and our jobs are all local in the City of Winnipeg or surrounding areas.

**We are looking for an individual who**:

- Must have a valid Class 1 driver's license with clean drivers abstract
- Safely operate company's truck in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and all company safety guidelines
- Must be able to work 50+ hours per week
- Must have steel toed boots
- Must be in good physical health and condition in order to perform physically demanding job duties
- Has minimum of 3 years of Class 1 driving experience
- Has experience with hauling mud and aggregates
- Understands and abides by weight restrictions and scale operations
- Will be required to conduct a daily pre-operation vehicle/equipment inspection
- Will respect and take care of company property
- Safely operate trucks to transport freight to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding routes, schedules, and any issues that arise during transport.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding commercial driving.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles and report any mechanical issues promptly.

**Skills**
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver's license.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and heavy equipment is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and logistics operations.
- Basic automotive repair skills to address minor mechanical issues on the road.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.

Licence/Certification:

- Class 1 Licence (required)
