Job Summary:
**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with the supply chain team to expedite the procurement and delivery of materials required for production.
- Monitor production schedules and coordinate with production managers to ensure materials are available in a timely manner to meet production deadlines.
- Track and update purchase orders, shipment schedules, and inventory levels to ensure accurate and up-to-date information is available for supply chain planning.
- Communicate and follow up with suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve any issues related to materials availability, quality, or delivery timelines.
- Utilize machine shop experience to understand production processes and identify potential bottlenecks or areas for improvement in the supply chain.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to provide input on supply chain strategies, production planning, and inventory management.
- Proactively identify and address any potential delays or issues in the supply chain that may impact production schedules.
- Assist in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to supply chain and production management.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to supply chain activities, including purchase orders, delivery receipts, and inventory reports.
- Adhere to all safety and compliance regulations in the supply chain and machine shop environment.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain management, production planning, or related roles, with a focus on production management and machine shop experience.
- Strong understanding of supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, and production planning.
- Knowledge of machine shop operations, including machining processes, materials, and quality requirements.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and vendors.
- Ability to analyze data, interpret results, and make data-driven decisions.
- Proficient in using supply chain management software and tools.
- Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies is a plus.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.

This is a temporary position with an estimated duration of 3 months and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our supply chain operations and support our production goals.
