**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
- Support residents with behavioral and mental health challenges using trauma-informed care practices
- Monitor and report changes in physical or mental health to the nursing team
- Foster a safe and therapeutic environment in alignment with care plans
- Encourage resident independence and participation in social/recreational activities
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Adhere to infection control, health, and safety protocols

**Qualifications**
- Completion of a recognized Health Care Aide certification program
- Active registration with the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory
- Previous experience in long-term care and/or mental health preferred
- Understanding of mental health diagnoses and de-escalation techniques
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including days and evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening acquired within the last 6 months

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: From $20.37 per hour
