Salary: $50-55,000 base + Travel Pay

**Purpose**:
Proving excellent Customer Service to retain customers. Reporting to the Customer Care Manager (Parts & Service) the Field Service Technician will be primarily responsible for providing on-site installations & training customers, sometimes assisting with the commissioning of Unifiller equipment under assembly, and sometimes fielding in-coming Service requests from customers needing technical assistance.
**Primary Duties**:
- Always demonstrate a professional attitude and image with a commitment to provide quality service to external customers, as well as to internal teams.
- Demonstrate leadership abilities.
- When in Vancouver (i.e. not traveling) work at the office 07:00 AM to 15:00 PM to
- Support to in-house leads on Projects under assembly
- Follows Standard Operating Procedures (ex. Project Handover, etc.) on preparing the machines to be ready to ship, dry run the machines to identify/resolve issues, prepare (ex. mix) customer's product(s) for Wet testing the machines to verify performance as per the Order Confirmation
- Provide remote technical support for customers needing technical support.
- When traveling:
- Pre-trip preparation and coordinating travel plans with Field Service Coordinator
- Do on-site installations, service, and training primarily in North America
- Manage customer expectations and maintain rapport with customers while evaluating complaints and identifying solutions
- Document Service visit with detailed Daily Trip Reports
- Assess potential sales opportunities at customers' site; suggesting improved methods and techniques; recommend system improvements
- Visit customers in the area of service visits to ensure maximized customer care
- International travel upon request
- The Field Service Technician must be able to tackle assignments with mínimal supervision**.**:
- Carries out other duties as assigned
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Education**:Emphasis on Mechanical, Pneumatic & Electrical**, with some education &/or experience with Electronics &/or Trade Qualifications in these areas.
- A **minimum of 5 to 10 years field experience as a Service Technician traveling to customer's facilities **to service equipment, and train customer's employees on the operation of equipment.
- Able to solve problems independently and make recommendations for Continuous Improvement
- Ability to interact professionally with a variety of individuals from different backgrounds and cultures, with companies of all sizes ranging from small “Mom & Pop” companies with one location to very large Corporations with multiple locations.
- Experience with trouble shooting (i) PLC control systems, HMI, and industrial networks (ex. PLC/HMI by Allen Bradley, Unitronics), (ii) pneumatic, VFD and Servo control components, their function and configuration
- Proficient with MS Office, with excellence in Word, MS Project and MSTeams
- Must be willing to travel at least 50% of the time.
- Must have a valid Passport for international travel and a valid driver's license
