**The Role**:
As a Vallea Lumina Ranger, you will have the opportunity to work outdoors and be the face of the twilight attraction. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests have an unforgettable experience. You will greet guests, provide guidance and assistance throughout the experience, and ensure their safety at all times. This is a part time evening position.

**Responsibilities**:

- Upholds the highest-level standard of behaviors aligned to culture, vision, mission, and values
Provides supervisor with feedback regarding the operation and provides the best guests experience possible
- Greet guests attending Vallea Lumina at Cougar Mountain base
- Provides guidance and assistance throughout the experience and provides attraction information to guests
- Highlight guest’s complaints or problems to a supervisor and respond to concerns and make sure they leave satisfied
- Safety is a priority in the wilderness, keep trails clean and tidy of debris
- Maintain order and ensure adherence to safety rules
- Notify Supervisor of issues or persons without tickets or passes
- Guide guests to exits or provide other instructions or assistance in case of emergency
- We are proud to have a dynamic team who roll up their sleeves to get the work done. As such, this role may require helping out other team members and departments as required.

**Requirements**:

- Interest in tourism, adventure tourism and/or activity operational delivery
- Experience in customer service role an asset
- Proven ability in building and sustaining strong working relationships
- Demonstrated excellence in communication. Clearly communicates key messages in a timely and efficient manner. Listens to understand information before reacting or responding.
- Proven ability to stay calm under pressure. Maintains clear thinking and sound judgment especially at busiest times in the operation
- Positive attitude and takes a collaborative approach to working with all departments
- Fluent in English, both writing and verbal, required
- Must be available to work weekends and evenings
- First aid certification is an asset
- Physically fit, able to lift up to 30 lbs., able to work outdoors on uneven terrain for majority of shift
