**The Role**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- ** Compliance Reporting**: Ensure accurate and timely reporting in compliance with WorksafeBC standards, including J.O.S.H (Joint Occupational Safety and Health) and J.H.S.C (Joint Health and Safety Committee) reports.
- ** Collaboration with TSBC**: Communicate and collaborate with Technical Safety BC (TSBC) for our zipline operations, ensuring all safety procedures and certifications are up to date and meet regulatory standards.
- ** Safety Plans and SOP Management**: Develop, update, and manage safety plans and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all activities, including snowmobiles, snowshoeing, ziplines, AOC, Vallea Lumina, Side-by-Sides, and rafting.
- ** Training and Certification**: Train, assess, and sign off on team members' competencies in their guiding roles. Oversee new-hire training, orientation, and retraining programs to ensure all guides are up to date on safety standards and operational procedures.
- ** Ongoing Development**: Ensure that all team members continue their professional development, including re-certifications and skill enhancements as needed. Maintain a focus on developing a safety-first culture.
- ** Safety Oversight**: Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments across all operations to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.

**Desired Qualifications**:

- ** First Aid Certifications**: OFA Level 1, 2, or 3 is required.
- ** Additional Certifications**: Ropes access training is a plus. Other relevant safety certifications or accreditations will be an asset.
- ** Experience**: Previous experience in a safety management role, preferably in an outdoor adventure or tourism-related industry.
- ** Knowledge**: Familiarity with safety regulations and reporting standards, particularly in the adventure tourism sector.
- ** Certifications & Training**: Willingness to complete additional certifications as required by the company or regulatory bodies.

- Excellent organizational skills with an eye for detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Passion for outdoor adventure activities and safety.

**Salary and Team Perks**:

- $60,000 - $90,000 annual salary based on experience and qualifications.
