**POSITION**:Business Systems Analyst II

**LOCATION**:Toronto (M5J 0A3)

**STATUS**: Full-time

**JOB OVERVIEW**

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**
- Collaborates with project manager(s), other BSAs and developers to identify, document and manage the business and system requirements/specifications for various projects that may be cross functional and technically complex.
- Responsible and accountable for the business requirements/specifications to be complete, correct, consistent, concise, achievable and to obtain signoff from the business owners
- Performs system analysis, including data analysis and data mapping, works in collaboration with the Development Lead on system design / architecture and articulates solution design in Technical Specifications
- Provides support to the project manager/manager in developing and maintaining project timelines and project status
- Develops test plans/strategies, prepares required test cases and expected results, and performs testing in collaboration with clients to ensure that initiatives being implemented are fully tested and meet the expected objectives.

**WHAT YOU WILL BRING**

Experience
- 3 - 5 years’ experience performing business and systems analysis (min 3 years within the Investment Management industry).

Education/Training
- College/University graduate in Business Administration, Computer Science or equivalent.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Excellent analytical ability, judgment and problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong knowledge of investment and wealth management functions: portfolio management/administration, back-office, compliance, statements, billing
- Strong SQL skills
- Ability to rapidly acquire an in-depth understanding of existing system design and /or reverse-engineer existing process
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable, handle multiple demands and competing priorities, adjust project deliverables as needed and timely communicate with Business and IT project stakeholders
- A genuine interest in the investment industry and willingness to learn more about the business
- Possess an understanding/experience of System/Software Development Life Cycle methodology
- Possess an understanding of and have experience with various project delivery methodologies including Waterfall and Agile
- Experience using the Scrum framework for delivery of products
- Experience using Atlassian software (agile tools) - Confluence and Jira
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team member
- Good interpersonal and team skills

**WORKING CONDITIONS**
- Currently work from home due to COVID19 restrictions; return to office plan will follow provincial guidelines for stages of activation
- Normal office environment
- Occasional weekend work is required
