Warehouse Dispatcher

**Job Summary**
The Warehouse Dispatcher accepts all appointment booking requests, prioritizes all client orders, books all delivery appointments, and organizes all receiving and shipping paperwork.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Coordinate and book incoming shipment appointments and outbound transportation to meet customer deadlines; advise the Foreperson/Warehouse Supervisor when booking appointments for any floor-loaded containers/trucks/cars to allow the supervisor time to arrange casual labour.
- Greet drivers, review incoming packing slips/waybills, record arrival time, direct door/dock allocation, advise the warehouse of truck arrival and add the truck to the Dock Allocation Board in the office.
- Record the truck departure time and remove the truck from the Dock Allocation Board in the office.
- Accept the completed inbound receiving paperwork back, verify for completeness and accuracy, then sort and distribute to the CSRs.
- Accept all Pick Tickets/BOLs from CSRs, review with Foreperson/Warehouse Supervisor, prioritize orders appropriately and sort them for the warehouse; ensure appropriate communication of rush priorities.
- Distribute Pick Tickets/BOLs to the warehouse operators as directed by Foreperson/Warehouse Supervisor.
**General Responsibilities**:
- Print copies of the next day’s Appointment Log for Foreperson/Warehouse Supervisor to review for awareness and for planning staff requirements. Review during daily warehouse/customer service meeting.
- Coordinate and book outbound transportation to meet customer deadlines, greet drivers and direct door/dock allocation.
- Control all warehouse documents and paper flow by: Accepting back the picked paperwork and holding until an authorized checker is available. Accepting back the checked paperwork and holding until outbound carriers arrive. Providing the outbound paperwork to the warehouse operator assigned to load the outbound shipment. Accepting the completed outbound paperwork back, sorting and distributing to the CSRs. Reviews open orders twice daily and informs supervisor so they can perform floor check.
- Communicate with the Warehouse Supervisor, with CSRs and with clients on specific order issues, maintain good customer relations using positive communications.
- Inspect paperwork for compliance with requirements of individual documents.
- Provide feedback on daily activity to the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Assist in keeping the warehouse office space neat, clean and organized, and in maintaining all paperwork, documentation, supplies and equipment in good order.
- Initiate RAIDE reporting process and report variances and incidents to management immediately.
- Make recommendations to company management with ideas for potential improvements in timeliness, accuracy, prioritization, storage layout, staffing, and in procedures and process issues.
- Report any security threats immediately.
