The opportunity

We are currently hiring for a Casual Disability Support Worker to join our team to work in the community of Saskatoon. In collaboration with the management team, the Disability Support Worker supports our individuals to live independently and be inclusive in their own community and help them achieve a higher quality of life standard while focusing on their goals and aspirations alike.

Job Responsibilities:
The primary goal of this position is to actively support individuals by:
Ensuring that they are connected to family, friends, and community.
Promoting opportunities with making meaningful choices.
Provide all personal support care as outlined in the support plan.
Key components in your role of actively supporting individuals include:
Recognizing moments of potential in developing skills and knowledge.
Providing just the right amount of assistance to guide but develop independence as well.
Promoting opportunities for healthy personal choice and decision making.
As a Community Support Worker, you function as part of a team in demonstrating and ensuring that Individuals are provided personal and social opportunities and options which enhance their quality of life.

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: From $19.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed

- Can you provide a minimum 16 hours of availability per week and be contacted on short notice to pick up shifts?

**Experience**:

- Support Worker: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Class 5 Saskatchewan Drivers License (required)
- 2 million vehicle Insurance (preferred)
- PART/NVCI/MANDT Training (preferred)
- First Aid and CPR (preferred)
- Recent Clear Criminal record and vulnerable sector check (required)
