**About the Marketing and Communications at LITE**

The Marketing and Communications Coordinator provides expertise across all aspects of the organization, supporting the development of all external communications, as well as providing marketing and communications support to Job Partners.

This role is responsible for promoting the LITE’s mission, programs, and events. It also supports sector-wide growth and/or sustainability by delivering workshops and presentations, leading and coordinating public campaigns, networking opportunities or supporting social impact sales with insights using marketing analytics.

As a partnership organization that aims to support the career aspirations of people who face systemic barriers to employment, this role also provides mentorship and supervision to volunteers, interns and youth hired in part-time or temporary positions.

**Key responsibilities**
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to support list growth, engagement and reach of LITE and Job Partner organizations.
- Prepare and deliver educational and informational materials to increase awareness of LITE, Job Partners and our approach to community economic development and charity.
- Develop, implement and evaluate communications strategies to inform LITE stakeholders of LITE’s impact, including public policy initiatives around social procurement and social impact purchasing.
- Develop and implement advertising campaigns to promote the sales of products and services by LITE and Job Partner organizations creating social impact via “LITE Shop”.
- Review, research and monitor community economic development and policy initiatives of the City of Winnipeg, Province of Manitoba or the Government of Canada.
- Develop and monitor annual and campaign-related budgets.
- Engage in strategic planning, annual goal setting

**Job duties include**
- Support LITE Job Partnerships with market research, business development and/or communication strategies as per the goals of given Job Partners, and partnerships.
- Provide analytical insight on the economic landscape and opportunities to the organization and Job Partners through website and social media monitoring.
- Create and/or oversee copywriting and image management, as well as provide written and oral presentations and reports.
- Create and oversee content calendars for social media and emarketing.
- Conduct opinion and attitude surveys to identify the interests and concerns of LITE stakeholders.
- Support the development and monitoring LITE’s social impact measurement tools.
- Identify and analyze key analytics in support of the organization’s goals for social impact and sustainability.
- Support the development and maintenance of LITE websites, social media accounts and print assets.
- Develop, implement and evaluate communications strategies designed to inform stakeholders and the general public of initiatives related to LITE’s charitable mandate and goals.
- Advise LITE Job Partners on advertising or sales promotion strategies, as needed.

**Qualifications**
- Post-secondary education in economics, business administration or related discipline; or significant relevant work experience will also be considered.
- Clear understanding of principles and practices of community economic development, barriers to employment, social enterprise, and social procurement.
- Ability to accurately evaluate and effectively communicate LITE’s projects and programs.
- Enthusiastic self-starter with the ability to quickly learn and understand concepts, problem solve, take ownership, and manage work with mínimal supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with both public and private sector stakeholders.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Casual

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
