Turning Leaf’s support is customized to every individual’s needs and risk level. We offer crisis intervention and treatment services, Community Support, Day Program Services, Residential Support (including emergency housing, 24-hour homes, Cluster Housing, and Home Share), a Harm Reduction Program, 24-hour Crisis Response, Clinical Services, Indigenous Services and more.

The participants of our programs are often deeply impacted by their circumstances which can become barriers to living safely and independently in the community. Trauma, homelessness, poverty, addictions, discrimination, sexual exploitation, societal stigmas, and lack of access to resources are some of the barriers our participants face every day.

**MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR JOB SUMMARY**
Reporting to the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer (CMCO), the Marketing and Communications Coordinator is primarily responsible for supporting the department in executing the annual marketing plan, communications functions, managing the Agency’s intranet, managing the Agency’s merchandise line, overseeing social media, graphic design, photography, video production, print production, etc. The Marketing and Communications Coordinator also collaborates with all departments as needed to help further the Agency’s mission, vision, goals, and objectives.
**ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS**
- 18 years of age or older.
- Cover letter and resume are required. Applications that do not include a cover letter will not be considered.
- Encouraged but optional: submit online graphic design and/or photography portfolios (website, social media handles, etc.) or submit digital samples of your work.
- Minimum three years of relevant work experience in a corporate setting.
- Available Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week in-office, with the willingness to work the odd evening when there are events, etc.
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check, Adult & Child Abuse Registry Check and (no older than three months).
- Valid Standard First Aid/CPR Certification preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is required.
- Three employment references.
- Experience working in a non-profit organization, particularly in the mental health/social services sector is an asset.
- Experience working with vulnerable people and people with disabilities is an asset.
- Proficient working with Canva, WordPress, SharePoint, and Constant Contact is an asset.
- Graphic design skills are required.
- Photography and photo editing skills are required.
- Video production skills are required.
- Extensive social media management experience is required.
- Strong academic and creative writer with meticulous copyediting skills.
- Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing practices.
**QUALITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and Communications or related discipline and/or Creative Communications Diploma. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Meticulous attention to detail.

- Ability to effectively prioritize and adjust when needed.
- Skilled in designing strategic, persuasive marketing materials.

**Marketing and Communications**:
- Collaborate with departments and employees as needed to help further the agency’s mission, vision, objectives, and goals.
- Support the CMCO in executing the annual marketing plan.
- Execute internal and external communications as needed.
- Provide Media and Public Relations support as needed.
- Spokesperson for the agency when appropriate and required.
- Act as a brand ambassador, including promoting adherence to brand standards.
