About Wild Rose Mining Wild Rose Mining builds and operates vertically integrated **natural‑gas power generation + Bitcoin self‑mining sites** across Alberta. We partner with production companies for gas supply, leverage specialized contractors for engines/electrical, and handle the mining stack in‑house. The role As **Project Operations Coordinator**, you’ll keep existing sites online and help bring new sites from greenfield to operation. You’ll coordinate subcontractors, plan work, produce drawings/methods of procedure, interface with regulators and counterparties, and support WRM techs during miner installs and upgrades. You report directly to the **C‑Suite**. What you’ll do **Operations (existing sites)** - Coordinate maintenance vendors (generator/engine mechanics, electricians, consumables delivery, spill response) and the production partner’s contract field operator. - Plan/dispatch daily work, align access/permits, and close work orders with solid documentation. - Track uptime, alarms, consumables, and parts; drive quick resolution and clear communication. - Support WRM technicians during miner installs/tuning/underclocking with well‑defined MOPs. **Buildouts (new sites)** - Develop work plans, schedules, and look‑aheads covering site prep, genset install, electrical tie‑in, networking, and commissioning. - Produce/maintain site drawings (layouts, single‑lines, network topology, airflow/cooling). - Coordinate with oil company counterparties for gas availability, access, and tie‑ins. - Interface with **AER, AUC, Counties (development permits), and EPEA** on required communications. **Planning & reporting** - Maintain the master schedule, risks, and mitigations in **Odoo**. - Capture lessons learned, vendor scorecards, and weekly ops summaries (uptime, incidents, costs). What you bring (experience > credentials) - **Work planning for multiple subcontractors** and vendor coordination. - **Remote operations** experience (oilfield, utilities, construction, or similar). - **Drafting** capability (able to produce/update practical site drawings). - Familiarity or enthusiasm for **Bitcoin** or mining operations. - Exposure to **natural gas power generation**. - **Oilfield/on‑site** experience and comfort leading tailgates/JHAs. - **Network/Internet systems** basics (IP addressing, VPN/LTE/Starlink failover, switches/VLANs). - Confidence with modern software and computer systems; disciplined documentation and change control. - **Education**: Bachelor’s preferred but not required. Additional requirements **Must‑haves** - Valid **Class 5 driver’s license** and **driver’s abstract with no DUI** (minor infractions acceptable). - Jobsite leadership: tailgate talks, JHAs, lockout/tagout discipline. - Strong sequencing across multiple contractors and scopes. - Comfortable planning/QA around **medium voltage (e.g., 4160 V)** and generator packages - (planning/verification only; no live electrical work)._ - Meticulous with redlines/as‑builts, checklists, closeouts, and records. **Nice‑to‑haves** - Oilfield facilities/service background; power generation familiarity. - Drafting in **AutoCAD/Bluebeam/DraftSight**. - CMMS experience and light cost tracking (AFEs/POs, change orders). - Network fundamentals for remote sites and miner‑fleet management concepts. - Safety tickets (any of): Energy Safety Canada CSO, **H2S Alive**, **Standard First Aid/CPR**, **WHMIS 2015**, Ground Disturbance II, Fall Protection; TDG awareness. - CAPM/PMP (asset only). **Working conditions** - Field work with **overnight stays**; able to lift ~25-30 kg occasionally. - Comfortable in cold weather and H₂S‑qualified locations (with proper monitors/procedures). Tools & systems - **Odoo** for project management/scheduling, work orders, and reporting. Schedule, travel & support - Field trips usually **Tue-Thu**; when work is complete, **Fridays can often be off**. - **Company van** provided for site usage; site trips often in pairs with a Field Operations Technician. - **Hotels, meals, consumables, and field expenses** covered via company card. Training & compliance - **No tickets required on Day 1.** WRM provides training for **H2S Alive, First Aid, WHMIS**, and other role‑relevant certifications. - Regulatory communications with **AER, AUC, Counties, EPEA** as needed.
