Events Coordinator

**About the Role**
The Manager of Events is responsible for the planning and execution of all BCBC virtual, hybrid, and in-person events. This role requires an individual with exceptional organizational skills to deliver high-quality events that engage senior business leaders and advance BCBC’s mission of fostering economic growth in British Columbia.
**Key Responsibilities**
Event Planning & Execution
- Lead the development and delivery of BCBC’s annual events, including:
- B.C. Business Summit
- B.C. Cabinet & First Nations Leaders Gathering Welcome Reception
- Annual General Meeting
- Strong Economy, Strong Community Dinner
- Executive Roundtables and Additional Forums
- Oversee all aspects of event coordination, including content development, speaker outreach, sponsorship fulfillment, marketing materials, and supplier management.
- Manage relationships with external vendors such as contractors, venues, and AV providers to ensure seamless event execution on budget.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communications
- Collaborate with members and senior business leaders to showcase their insights and perspectives on economic opportunities in British Columbia.
- Maintain and contribute to BCBC’s events calendar.
- Work with communications team to develop and implement marketing strategies to promote BCBC events and initiatives.
Brand & Reputation Management
- Uphold and enhance BCBC’s reputation as a trusted convener of high-impact events and discussions.
- Ensure all events align with BCBC’s standards of excellence and effectively engage key stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in event planning and execution, ideally within a corporate or policy-driven environment.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Hands-on approach with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and personally oversee event logistics and execution.
- Ability to thrive in a small, dynamic team where adaptability and initiative are essential.
- Knowledge of event marketing, sponsorship fulfillment, and vendor coordination.
This is a permanent-full time position based in Vancouver, B.C. We are a hybrid office with 3 days in-office. Due to the nature of this position, occasional early morning or evening work is required.
Pay: $75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
