**Key Responsibilities**:
- Collaborate with the Estimator, Project Manager, and General Manager to assist with the tendering process for construction projects.
- Conduct field surveys with a high degree of accuracy, adhering to design criteria and maintaining thorough documentation.
- Maintain and calibrate survey instruments and accessories, ensuring they are field-ready and properly maintained.
- Establish and verify site control points and benchmarks.
- Operate total stations, GPS, and leveling instruments to carry out required surveys.
- Prepare and process layout data from digital design files.
- Perform construction layout work at various stages with accuracy and efficiency.
- Conduct quantity and as-built surveys as needed.
- Download and prepare field survey data for processing and documentation.
- Ensure that as-built surveys meet contract requirements and are regularly updated to reflect the ongoing construction process and schedule.
**Qualifications**:
- A college diploma in Engineering, Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction surveying.
- Solid knowledge of survey practices and industry standards.
- Experience operating total stations, GPS, and other survey instrumentation.
- Familiarity with software such as AutoCAD, MicroSurvey CAD, FieldGenius Android and Windows, Bluebeam Revu, and EMLID Flow 360 is an asset.
- Experience with survey data preparation, including downloading and processing data using office software.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in tools like AutoCAD and Leica Infinity.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a high level of dependability.
- Commitment to following safe working procedures on all job sites.
Pay: $31.44-$42.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
Additional pay:
- Overtime pay
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed
