Lethbridge, Canada Sego Canada Inc. Full time

Sego Canada Inc. is seeking a **Accounting Technician** to cover a parental leave and provide support to a team of professionals, in a group of companies, and will report directly to the Accounting Manager with a focused team approach. The role will be based out of the Sego Lethbridge location, and may be from 12 to 18 months.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Perform month end reconciliations of balance sheet accounts for distribution and service companies
- Reconcile subledger to general ledger for multiple accounts
- Preparation of monthly recurring entries and posting
- Preparation of annual working papers
- Daily support of accounts payable coding, posting and reconciling activities
- Support accounting special projects and system development
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem solving and critical thinking skillset
- Energetic, positive and motivated work ethic
- Ability to work with deadlines and tight timelines
- Other duties may be assigned, as required.

**Education, Skills and Experience**:

- Post Secondary Accounting Education
- 3-7 years working in a similar role
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to change
- Interest in the CPA program would be beneficial
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains and SAP would be an asset

**Licenses & Qualifications**:

- Clean Criminal Record

**Salary commensurate with Education, Experience, Qualifications and Skillset**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $53,000.00-$57,000.00 per year

Additional pay:

- Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Lethbridge, AB T1H 6P6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Education**:

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Accounting ERP: 1 year (preferred)
- Accounting: 3 years (preferred)
