CP Distributors has a current opening for an ambitious **Shop Assistant/Junior Fabricator** in our **Saskatoon **branch.

As a **Shop Assistant/Junior Fabricator**, you will be responsible to:

- Safely operate various power tools including handheld drills, grinders, reamers, saws, nail guns, scanners, and warehouse equipment.
- Have a practical understanding of hollow metal and wood doors and their uses.
- Utilize overhead hoist, assembly jigs, and rotating equipment to preassemble hardware onto doors.
- Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to workplace policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service and work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders.
- A valid license is required

**Your Experience**:

- Ideally, you bring 1-2+ years of general warehouse experience or applied construction trades training.
- Experience operating a forklift is considered an asset.
- Experience with construction, specifically hollow metal door hardware installation. A strong mechanical background is considered an asset.

**Your Skills**:

- Demonstrated attention to detail and focused on producing top-quality work.
- Quick learner and eager to take on new challenges. Including cross-training with various positions at our facility.
- Perform work unsupervised and as part of a team.
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues across our company maintaining our close-knit, team-oriented culture.
