**Lakeshore Animal Health Partners (“LAHP”)** is seeking a Internal Medicine Animal Care Attendant for our 24/7 emergency and referral hospital.

LAHP is located in the Greater Toronto Area and offers 24/7 emergency care alongside a comprehensive array of specialty veterinary services. Our guiding mission at LAHP is to provide pets with access to the same quality of healthcare available to their owners. We are looking to hire an Animal Care Attendant for our 24/7 Emergency and specialty hospital.

**About the Role**
- Minimum 1 year of experience working as an animal care attendant in a veterinary hospital
- Special interest and previous experience in Internal Medicine is an asset but not required
- Passion for what you do every day Enthusiasm, energy and a positive attitude
- Strong communication skills
- An ability and desire to flourish in new environments

Under the direct supervision of Internal Medicine RVTs and Board-certified, the duties and responsibilities of a Internal Medicine ACA include, but are not limited to:

- Restraining patients for physical exams as well as assisting with procedures
- Create a low-stress environment for our in-hospital patients
- Cleaning of the exam rooms following appointments
- Assisting with recovery of patients following procedures
- Administration duties including admits for internal medicine and follow-up phone calls, coordinating appointments and scheduling
- General ACA duties including laundry, cage cleaning, feeding and walking patients, stocking of the treatment areas throughout the entire hospital.
- Ability to work independently and able to collaborate in a team environment.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Exemplary client service skills
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology is desirable
- Proficiency in computer systems and electronic medical software (ezyVet and VetRadar)
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Exceptional organization skills
- Takes initiative and accepts accountability
- Must be able to lift +50 lbs

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
