Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician/Veterinary Assistant to join our team in an overnight role. You'll work independently monitoring hospitalized patients on a fixed schedule.

Sunday to Thursday overnight shifts Midnight to 8am, some flexibility available.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a calm, quiet environment and can take initiative while maintaining high standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and evaluate hospitalized patients overnight.
  • Perform laboratory diagnostics (bloodwork, urinalysis, etc.).
  • Administer medications and treatments.
  • Maintain clear and accurate patient records.
  • Safely restrain animals during procedures and treatments.
  • Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.
  • Collaborate with on-call veterinarians for urgent changes in patient status.
  • Assist with patient appointments during extended-hour operations (as needed).

Qualifications

  • Experience in a veterinary setting is required.
  • Ability to administer medications (IV, IM, SQ, OP)

  • Ability to multitask effectively in both independent and team settings.
  • Comfortable working overnight and during extended hours on select holidays.
