*Overview*

Cashier/Customer Service is one of the critical roles that enhance overall customer shopping experience. Leading a positive shopping & customer service environment while delivering fast, friendly, accurate and safe service. Cashier greets and welcomes incoming customers, proactively assist customers answering their questions, process purchase transactions on POS system and ensure overall customer satisfaction.

*Responsibilities*
- This key customer service position is responsible for providing any assistance required by customers with any of their shopping requirements, acting as a sales consultant driving value add business while increasing overall business revenues.
- Processing in-store and on phone customer orders thru billing/POS System. Act as a primary point of contact for customer’s in-store and on phone.
- This position will provide sales assistance and the highest level of customer service to ensure all customers receive a superior shopping experience.
- Individuals will be familiar with all point of sale procedures and policies relating to the front end in order to provide competent and efficient service to the customers.
- They will demonstrate a friendly and professional attitude at all times to provide the best possible service.

*Addl. Responsibilities include: *

Implement and Practice Loss Prevention Strategies curbing pilferage | Inventory control and Stock Management | Stock forecasting | Merchandising | Pricing Strategies | Implement corporate Marketing strategies | Maintain Time Sheets, Document Filing etc. | Overall Store Management

*Qualifications: *
- Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure and with little supervision.
- Good cash handling abilities.
- Strong selling and customer service skills.
- Professional image, reflecting positively on the company.
- Excellent communication skills within a team environment.
- Demonstrate good interpersonal skills when dealing with customers, staff & management.
- Highly organized, able to multitask effectively, as well as stay calm under changing priorities and pressure situations.
- High degree of common sense and ability to make appropriate decisions to satisfy both the company and customer.
- Ability to exercise professional judgment, delegate, and follow up.
- Proven ability to handle stressful customer interactions with success.
- Must have good understanding of relevant technology used for the business.
- Superior product knowledge for the general floor.
- High level of experience with, and knowledge of, policy and procedures.
- Advanced level of knowledge of the point of sales system.
- Have a good knowledge of store layout for customer inquiries.

*Availability/ Requirement*

Employees must be available to work a flexible schedule, Monday through Saturday, at least 12 to 16 hours per week, day and evening shifts. Occasionally late night shifts. Physically Fit, able to lift 40lbs on a regular basis.
