**About the Role**
Haliscape Construction is looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. This permanent, full-time role offers steady, year-round work operating excavators, loaders, and skid steers on residential construction and landscaping projects. In addition to operating equipment, you’ll also pitch in with site preparation, cleanup, and material handling as needed.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Safely operate excavators, loaders, and skid steers for trenching, grading, and material movement.
- Read and follow grades, markings, and site layouts accurately.
- Load, move, and place soil, gravel, stone, and other materials.
- Complete daily equipment checks and report maintenance issues.
- Assist with snow removal in the winter (premium rate applies).
- Support the crew with physical tasks such as shoveling, lifting, raking, and debris removal.
- Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas.

**What We’re Looking For**
- At least 2 years of professional experience operating excavators and/or loaders.
- Skid steer experience (foot-control preferred).
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and reliable transportation (sites not on bus routes).
- Ability to handle both equipment operation and physical labour.
- Strong safety awareness and mechanical aptitude.
- Dependable, team-oriented attitude.
- References required.

**Working Conditions**
- Lift and carry up to 55 lbs daily.
- Outdoor work in all weather (hot, cold, wet).
- PPE: safety vest and steel-toe boots required at all times; cut-resistant gloves when tasks require.
- Vehicle access only - public transit not available.
