**What We Will Ask of You**: As a key member of our Autism Services team, our Behaviour Consultant plays an important role. On most days you’ll be providing consultation, training and ABA-based services to empower children/youth with Autism, their caregivers, and schools within the Peterborough, Haliburton, Northumberland and Kawartha Lakes area. You will be regularly implementing and monitoring behaviour intervention plans and skill-building programs to ensure desired treatment outcomes are achieved from the child/youth and family goals. The Behaviour Consultant collaborates with the Clinical Supervisors and Program Manager to ensure that best practices are followed and quality service is delivered while enhancing the overall quality of life and independence for individual’s accessing services.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Provide and oversee ABA-based services to children/youth with ASD receiving any service intensity through AS.
- Support Behaviour Technicians and Instructor Therapists in performing all necessary assessments and baseline measurements to create a functionally-relevant program to meet the needs of the child per parent/guardian goals.
- Direct consultation to parents, schools and other professionals regarding implementation of ABA program. Consultation may include: parent training, feedback, corrective feedback and support.
- Ability to facilitate a skill-building group for caregivers of children with ASD.
- Collect and analyze data to measure the progress of the child.
- Support the Clinical Supervisor in the preparation of all relevant documents, including but not limited to session notes, behavior plans, and skill acquisition programs.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor Degree in Social Science or equivalent.
- Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA)/Board Certified Assistant Behaviour Analyst (BCaBA) qualifications or ability to obtain BCBA/BCaBA qualifications is an asset.
- 3+ years of experience working with the ASD population and preferred experience in development and implementation of ABA evidence-based programming.
- Demonstrated experience of using best practice in supporting service users.
- Direct experience working with children, youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder, and other diagnoses.
- Valid G-Class driver’s license for the Province of Ontario, access to reliable transportation and have valid proof of automobile insurance with driving for business purposes and a minimum liability of two million dollars.
