**Job Description and Requirements**
Entry Level Positions Available - $19.52 to start

Canada's number one printer is seeking motivated employees to fill entry level labor positions in our printing plant in Calgary. **RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Set up and operate equipment
- Take printed bundles newspapers or flyers of off the stacker and arrange on a skid as per customer specification
- Boxing, wrapping, strapping printed product
- Operate pallet jack
- Monitor equipment operation and make repair/maintenance recommendations to the direct report.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization and health and safety standards of work area
- Ensure thorough communication with press teams during shift and handoff at shift change
- Adhere to and promote safety policies and procedures (SWP’s)

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Proven experience within a manufacturing setting
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- Proven ability to work within a fast paced, team environment
- Good math, organizational and communication skills
- Physically able to work 12 hour shifts

$19.52/hour to start. Your salary rates can increase after 6 months again Top rate for position is $21.23 with opportunity for advancement, to develop skills and to grow. PLUS you will get an additional $2.40/hour premium for night shifts.

Shifts are 12 hours in length and your schedule is two days on, two days off and rotates from day shift to night shift every two weeks. Upon successful completion of our 90 day probation period, you will be able to join our comprehensive Group Insurance Program

Working on our production floor means you are part of the team preparing the printed product for our customers

The health and safety of our employees is a top priority. We provide health and safety training before you begin your first shift, and ongoing training throughout your career with us. We wear the below personal protective equipment during our shifts: hearing protection (provided), safety glasses (provided), CSA approved steel toed boots (boot purchase program) and uniforms (provided).

We ask all employees to complete warm up for work stretching before and during their shifts, and work together every day to contribute to a safe work environment.Employees joining our team will be working on their feet for their shift duration, and will frequently push, pull, lift, bend and reach.
