Our robust Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility program continues to grow, and has been recognized by the United Nations and many other organizations for our leadership. **ABOUT THE ROLE** Reporting to the Manager, Fleet Services is responsible for leading, developing, and implementing corporate fleet training programs relevant to vehicle and equipment operators training, safety compliance and incident/accident investigations for corporate fleet and acting as a liaison with other departments across the Region; responsible for conducting and evaluating the driver training for all Region drivers (except Paramedics); also responsible for updating safety/training policies and procedures for the specialized fleet of light, medium and heavy duty vehicles and off-the-road equipment ensuring legislation, quality standards and compliance are met; administrating the Commercial Vehicle Operators Registration (CVOR) as legislated; maintaining and monitoring a secured driver record file and database for driver abstract reports and driver license renewal dates; responsible for overseeing fleet management documentation and reporting and also responsible for providing guidance and reviewing work of assigned staff. **WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING** - Identifies staff required to attend training in consultation with other management; ensures operators are trained on vehicles and equipment for their assigned duties ensuring compliance with legislative requirements. - Develops training policies and procedures and recommends changes to ensure alignment of fleet training policies, processes, and programs with operational readiness. - Initiates the development of the Corporate Fleet Policy with all Fleet partners across the Region. - Reviews training policies and recommends changes to ensure alignment of fleet training policies, processes, and programs with operational readiness. - Obtains signing authority under the MTO Driver Certification Program for license upgrades and renewals including working in conjunction with the Registered Authority Official for the Region as recognized by the MTO; acts as designated signing authority under the MTO Driver Certification Program for license upgrades and renewals. - Provides training and testing for vehicle licensing in accordance with MTO standards including administration of testing and vision tests. - Maintains and updates driver profiles for all staff in accordance with legislative requirements. - Responds to incident/accident investigations as it pertains to driver/vehicle and equipment units; completes forms, photographs, records, and reports, as required; completes
