Due to company growth, we require a full-time **Safety & Training Officer **based out of our Burlington office (4150 Harvester Rd, Burlington). This position offers a positive work environment in a fast-paced environment, competitive salary, group benefits along with enhanced skill development.

**Job Description**:

- Maintain the driver data; license, training, retraining using bus Hive software
- Assist with driver recruitment and screening applicants through the interview process
- Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of driver training and retraining through proven experience in the school bus field
- Ability to work in a time sensitive manner
- Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of Ministry of Transportation regulations
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of all components of the school bus driving job through 5 years of school bus driving experience; preference will be given to applicants with a B license with a Z endorsement
- Communicate within the company and with clients and external organizations
- Communicate with parents, guardians and clients regarding safety related concerns, suggestions or requests
- Conduct incident and collision investigations including scene response and all follow-up telephone relations and report completion
- Reporting to the Director of Safety and Training, you will direct and supervise the tasks assigned to Signing Authorities and Junior Trainers.
- Working with the Burlington Operations Manager will immediately respond to all safety concerns or complaints
- Conduct all office functions and administrative duties related to Safety and Training
- Conduct driver training, retraining and evaluations
- Always represent the Safety and Training Department in a professional and friendly manner
- Maintain the confidential information entrusted to your position
- Other duties as assigned

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$56,000.00 per year
