Health and Safety Supervisor

**Position**: Health and Safety Supervisor for Transportation Company.
We are a Burlington-based transportation company looking for a Health and Safety supervisor who will be responsible for all safety training for our drivers.
**Essential Functions & Responsibilities**:
- Driver training on all company safety policies and protocols.
- Hiring and Onboarding of new company drivers.
- Training of drivers on proper maintenance and use of company equipment (trucks, trailers, electrical walkies, etc)
- Working with management on creating and implementing new safety policies. Responsible for compliance with all safety regulations in the facility and on company equipment.
- Filling out our accident report forms and coordinating documents with insurance.
- Any other duties assigned regarding safety and hiring in the workplace.
**Job Specifications—Skills and Competencies**:
- Must be able to communicate effectively (both written and oral).
- Must be organized and have great attention to detail.
- Must be a self-starter and work independently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.)
- Flexibility and ability to multitask.
- Work well under pressure and within deadlines.
**Education and Training**:
- Experience working in a Transportation /Logistics company is preferred.
- Knowledge about truck and trailer maintenance is an asset.
