**What You’ll Do**

Gyptech is seeking a **Safety Manager** to provide safety leadership and manage the health & safety program across the organization. With locations in North America and Europe and job sites around the world, we are looking for a team-oriented, detailed safety professional to further develop and implement a robust global safety program. Your role will involve:

- Providing leadership on health and safety strategy and preparing reports for senior management.
- Evaluating practices, procedures at offices, manufacturing facilities and job sites to assess risk and adherence to the applicable laws.
- Recommending solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures while establishing a culture of health and safety.
- Conducting training and presentations related to health and safety and accident prevention.
- Ensuring that any incidents are properly investigated, documented and reported. Assisting with identifying the root cause(s) and implementing corrective actions, as necessary.
- Assisting with the coaching, mentoring and implementation of the H&S program in the field.
- Monitoring compliance with company policies and legal regulations by conducting visits to job sites, manufacturing facilities and offices.
- Working with our contractors’ safety representatives on a regular basis to evaluate safety programs, monitor and proactively promote a positive safety consciousness on job sites.

This position is based out of our head office in Burlington with a requirement to travel internationally on a consistent basis.

**What You Offer**
- Post-Secondary Education with Health and Safety accreditation or equivalent
- 7+ years of field health & safety experience on industrial construction projects
- Excellent organizational and motivational skills
- Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
- Strong work ethic, a positive attitude and able to work well both independently and as part of a team
