We are seeking a Project Coordinator - Schedule located in Bruce County.
**JOB PURPOSE**
Reporting to the Project Controls Manager - Bruce Power Projects, the Project Coordinator - Schedule is responsible to develop and maintain project schedules. This will include input of all required resources and materials to do the work consistent with project scope, commercial requirements, customer needs, and business requirements. The Project Coordinator - Schedule will be responsible for schedule management, project budgets (labour hours, material dollars), project performance, as well as related reports and deliverables.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Overall responsibility for compliance of assigned projects within project controls processes and procedures (both BWXT and customer’s requirements).
- Review the applicable contracts and ensure that all the contract conditions (reporting, change management, etc.) are applied and fulfilled.
- Project schedule tracking and reporting.
- Project closeout.
- Provide support to proposals, including scheduling of tasks and providing Project Coordinator - Cost with resource loading for estimate development, milestones for cash flow analysis etc.
- Ensure that all schedule issues with cost impacts are adequately addressed in cost estimate.
- Work with schedule stakeholders, utilizing the scope list to define the project work breakdown and activity sequence to develop a project critical path.
- Optimize the project plan by utilizing the correct number of resources, sequencing activities, etc.
- Break down the proposal estimate and schedule into a detailed project baseline budget and schedule.
Schedule is often a resource-loaded Primavera P6 schedule and knowledge of this scheduling platform is a requirement of the role.
- Assist the Project Manager to update schedule on a weekly basis, by assessing actual work done and analyze effort expended and perform critical path analysis.
- Integrate the project plan with a focus on both BWXT’s and customer’s requirements.
- Work with Project Team and prepare a baseline of the schedule (level 4 or 5) and monitor updates with reference to this baseline.
- Maintain alignment between project schedule, project budgets (labour hours, material dollars), project performance and related reports and deliverables.
- Involvement in related planning exercises dependent on project budgets and plans, such as department-level resource analysis (Master Project Plans, department loadboards, etc.).
- Monitor, update and communicate status, alerting stakeholders to any deviations in plan, initiating corrections.
- Integrate recover schedule with weekly schedules and, if necessary, reissue work lists.
- Conduct or assist in performance measurement and associated schedule trends.
- Support the preparation of baseline budgets to support the as-sold work.
- Involvement in other commercial exercises and reports such as customer schedule adherence, integrations, dashboard, business-level reports and analysis, business-level forecasting and resourcing.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- This is considered an intermediate-level role in the Project Controls Group.
- Expected to work consistently and independently and as part of a project team. Expected to provide oversight, guidance and training to more junior members of the group.
- Post-secondary education in a related technical or commercial field from an accredited university or college is preferred.
- 3 to 5 years of related on-job experience (preferred).
- Working knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in MS Office suite of products (particularly Excel and Word).
- Experience with Primavera or equivalent scheduling software is required with an excellent understanding of scheduling, cost concepts, and principles.
- Excellent understanding of PMI PMBOK, AACE knowledge areas (preferred).
- Excellent understanding of the nuclear industry and associated project types (preferred).
- Excellent analytical skills.
