**Your Opportunity**

As a member of the Business Experience User Experience team, you will work on improving the user experience of our Functional Services Teams (FSTs) partners and fellow Stantec employees with processes, systems and tools. To accomplish this, you will take a collaborative and structured approach in working with stakeholders to understand business requirements, engaging with various teams to translate them into an understanding of the current state, effectively communicate need and requirements, and ensuring that the solutions meet the business requirements. To support the adoption of change you will participate in supporting change management activities and strategies.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to build an understanding of business current and future needs.
- Analyze current state business processes, identifying pain-points, and developing recommendations for process/system improvement.
- Document processes using a variety of tools including Visio and MS project.
- Scope business requirements and formulating a plan with the teams to optimally solicit detailed requirements to design and develop the solution most efficiently.
- Conducting stakeholder workshops to elicit need and requirements.
- Developing process models and other project deliverables using a variety of tools including confluence Jira, GitLab or Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
- Assisting with solution assessment and selection documentation.
- Researching, recommending, and implementing solutions.
- Working with stakeholders to develop business practice and policy documentation.
- Support the development and participate in user acceptance testing /pilot activities to confirm and improve the user experience.
- Adhere to Stantec’s BX Intake and Change Management practices.
- Collaborating with business analysts in other business domains (Finance, IT, Payroll, Project Delivery, Project Accounting, Marketing, etc.) to ensure cross-functional requirements and impacts to other stakeholders are considered.
- Assisting with day-to-day operational issues.
- Actively support organization change management and communication efforts as they pertain to the initiatives and activities you are supporting.

**Qualifications**

**Your Capabilities and Credentials**
- Experience eliciting and documenting high-level and detailed requirements, including use cases, stories, and epics.
- Experience in test planning, preparation, and execution. Experience with QA testing tools (qTest) is an asset.
- Understanding and experience working with agile development practices would be a significant asset.
- Strong customer service focus with demonstrated interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational, time management, problem solving, and analytical skills.
- Detail-oriented with high-degree of critical thinking.
- Highly self-motivated and directed.
- Excellent team player demonstrated by being held accountable to other team members while also holding other team members to their tasks.
- Familiarity with Jira, Gitlab or Confluence

**Education and Experience**
- Business Analysis experience working in a complex business environment.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field. Experience working in the Architecture and Engineering industry or consulting services in operations and project management would be considered an asset.
- Post-secondary degree; ideally related to Business or Management Information Systems.
