We are looking for a **Welding Supervisor** to join our Atlantic Crane team at our fabrication facility in **Dartmouth, NS**. Reporting to the manager, this role is to assist with overseeing the fabrication and welding process and perform various functions in the warehouse including the production area to ensure customers’ needs are met.

**Principle Responsibilities**
- Assisting with general production including welding, cutting, and grinding of steel parts
- Weld components in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions as certified by CWB
- Weld or bolt sections together
- Lay out reference points and patterns
- Fit and weld parts together
- Construct patterns and templates
- Assemble and fit plates and sections to form structures
- Study engineering drawings and blueprints, determine the materials required, and plan the sequence of tasks to work efficiently
- Rig, hoist and move materials to storage areas or within worksite
- Install fabricated components in final product
- Oversee the fabrication and welding process to make sure that they are to the correct specifications
- General warehouse duties
- This position is primarily based in a manufacturing atmosphere
- Able to excel in a team environment

**Education and Skills Required**:

- Completion of Grade 12 diploma, or equivalent
- **Completion of Welding Supervisor course**:

- Previous experience operating manual or semi-automatic flame cutting equipment, manual and semi-automatic welding equipment.
- Qualified CWB welder or equivalent certificate of qualification
- Ability to accomplish multiple tasks in a timely and efficient manner
- Must be capable of organizing and coordinating work with mínimal supervision
- Must be able to read welding process specifications and detailed drawings.
- Ability to operate the electric overhead cranes
- Experience with rigging considered an asset.
- Able to safely lift 50 lbs. from floor level to waist level
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Dedication to quality, safety and continuous improvement is necessary.
