_**Lady Hammond Animal Hospital is a full service, small animal only Veterinary Hospital (cats and dogs) open 7 days a week. We require a full staff equipped with great interpersonal skills, a customer service oriented background, and a hard working mentality. We are fast-paced environment, taking on booked and walk-in appointments and surgeries Monday through Sunday.**_

**Requirements**:

- Weekends and evenings/ daytime shifts available
- Reception, Veterinary, or medical office experience strongly preferred
- VOA Education/ Registered Veterinary Technician education preferred
- Age requirement due to X-ray Safety Protocol - At least 19 years of age
- Including but not limited to: (Job description according to role)
- Basic reception duties; answering phones, taking appointments, maintaining an organized front of-house, customer service
- Attending doctors; prepping for surgical procedures, restraining cats and dogs, assisting with blood draws/ IV line placement, clipping and cleaning etc
- Kennel maintenance
- Recommendations of products ie. Flea and Tick prevention, deworming, over the counter medications/treatments
- Fast paced environment
- Handle, restrain and care for animals undergoing treatment and surgery, Assist veterinarian before, during and after surgery, Prepare and administer medications and vaccines under direction of veterinarian, Administer treatments as prescribed by veterinarian, Counsel clients on animal health care, Produce diagnostic radiographs, collect samples and perform other laboratory tests, Veterinary office management, Provide wound and bandage care, Provide nursing care and rehabilitation therapy for animals,

- Veterinary Assistant: 1 year (preferred)
- Veterinary Technician: 1 year (preferred)

**Salary**: $15.00-$17.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- Veterinary Assistant: 1 year (preferred)
