**Overview**
A high-visibility leadership opportunity is available for an experienced Plant Manager to oversee the operations of a state-of-the-art Material Recovery Facility (MRF) in Cambridge, Ontario. This role is ideal for a forward-thinking leader with a strong background in operations, team development, and continuous improvement, who thrives under high expectations and can build a high-performance culture from the ground up.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead day-to-day operations of the MRF, ensuring adherence to environmental, safety, and operational standards
- Drive performance through strong KPI management, accountability, and strategic execution
- Manage budget planning and ensure year-over-year improvement (minimum 2-3% savings expected)
- Oversee plant P&L, with a focus on operational efficiency and cost control
- Develop, coach, and lead a high-performing team; instill a strong sense of ownership and culture
- Maintain readiness for regular plant visits from regional and U.S.based leadership
- Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations at all times
- Champion lean manufacturing practices and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Direct supervision of 4-5 full-time staff and indirect oversight of 40-45 plant personnel
- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent combination of education and 4+ years of experience)
- Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in plant or facility operations
- Demonstrated success in improving budget performance by 2-3% year over year
- Proven track record in building and scaling teams from the ground up
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to manage a high-accountability environment
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies
- Capable of fostering a high-performance culture focused on safety, quality, and efficiency
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
Pay: $120,000.00-$125,000.00 per year

- Cambridge, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

- Bachelor's Degree (required)
**Experience**:
- Plant or facility operations: 7 years (required)
