Grand River Foods is currently seeking a Plant Controller for our Cambridge, ON facility.
**Responsibilities**:
- Maintain inventory control, lead inventory counts and guide Inventory Analyst in analyzing and seeking explanation of inventory variances for finished goods, WIP, protein and dry goods inventories.
- Ensuring KPI daily, weekly and monthly reports are prepared accurately and distributed in a timely manner.
- Prepare and analyze yearly budget.
- Ensuring month end tasks not limited to inventory count and other cut off tasks are performed on a timely basis.
- Continuous review of Bill of Material and recipes of current and new products.
- Prepare semi-annual yield and throughput analysis of current products to review and update BOM.
- Work with Senior planner and sales to prepare semi-annual analysis to update min/max & EBQ.
- Ensuring disposal process is followed to disposed-off materials.
- Prepare capital expenditure financial justification to support new assets purchases, and provide financial input to post-implementation review of capital expenditures.
- Maintain internal controls for the safeguarding of company property and other areas as needed.
- Ensure plant compliance with company-wide administrative policies and procedures in the areas of purchasing, fixed assets, inventory, billing and other areas as required.
- Support corporate initiatives for value-added management reporting and analysis to support operations decision-making.
- Administration superuser of ERP, warehouse management and related systems; provide related guidance and support to various administration and operations personnel.
- Participate in local and company-wide process improvement initiatives.
- Lead the plant administration team.
- Other responsibilities as required.
**Requirements**:
- 10+ years experience in a similar position
- Minimum of a Bachelors degree in business or accounting but preferably an MBA
- Intermediate computer skills
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Strong leadership/management skills
